Commision-ful Days and not much else!
[info]son_nekoni
So, I'm dropping by for a little update, (you guys know I suck at blogging about myself, so forgive me!) Life is both, interesting and uninteresting at the same time. It's uninteresting in the fact I barely move from the computer chair to do mostly interesting things.

I just updated my facebook, (an account I made for the sole purpose of gaining access to my friends' photos, but somehow I have 40 friends on it now) I'm reminded constantly that I don't have any good photos of me; though a drunk guy once told me I was photogenic... ... another drunk guy once called me Goku... ... hm, drunk guys are weird....

So ponderings of inebriation aside, let us henceforth make for the information of which you seek.

Interesting things... work's not that great right now. The were powderstruggles in the company we worked with most (is the easiest way to explain it) so things aren't that smooth. Of course, I couldn't go to London MCM Expo this October, in part because of the financial situation, in part because of the pandemic.

But yeah, I've taken about 10 commissions to guanrantee christmas gifts this year =) I don't usually get to select gifts for people, but I know what they want and I have to save up for that. I did sort of oversell in one day, so I clearly can put my prices up a little, (I always work so hard to please other people too) I'll open again this month and take more commissions, I'm sure, but I have to finish these ones first

Honestly, it's quite interesting to draw other people's tastes. I've taken illustration work, of course! But, drawing for people who love stories means drawing scenes and characters I wouldn't usually consider, (while still firmly in my style of art) it makes it... interesting! So I'm mostly enjoying the experience.

I'd love to show you guys; but it's not my place to distribute these pictures without permission... so I'll be showing only those that are allowed to be released, when they're allowed to be released, ^_^;

A change of topic: Anime and Manga! Like any good appreciator of the mediums, I've dipped my toe recently into a variety of series =3 afterall, for all the people who say, 'Bleach/Naruto is overrated', their must be some truth to it, right?

No, not really.

I've watched everything popular, several things unpopular too... and after all that, most everything else passes by as 'just a story' whereas Bleach and Naruto maintain an 'epic tale' quality to them. It's not simply that they're very long now, it's a style they have, something very hard to explain but easy to appreciate. They -deserve- their praise.

The noteworthy series of partaken recently... Gintama is good, (hard to get into) but both manga and anime have had me crying with laughter; I actually quite love it, though it's difficult to find the manga and anime for, it's got teen and young-adult humor, and the main-character is entirely loveable and has a perm. D Grey Man had me falling asleep; I don't think I can say anymore to it. Code Geass, -after I stopped laughing at the bad use of British town-names, symboles, words and stereotypes- (no avoiding that, I'm English) didn't catch me out as a fan, and I hate the main character too much to appreciate anything beyond the nice animation. I'm sure I watched more that I couldn't remember... something about English vampires and some cop chick.

07 Ghost has to be the favourite among those I've watched, though admittedly I'm not always sure what's happening, and I know I wouldn't like it if the epicly cool character Frau wasn't part of it. Gurren Laggan is rather entertaining, I've only watched a few episodes though, and my first exposure to it had failed to get me to watch it (my sister watched it all, so I know the future plot, of course). Also in the good books is Kuroshitsuji; which, despite a slow and tedious start, and the occasional outcry against suposedly 'english' dishes the characters often eat, it's good... For me, it was a boring start, then it became good the second all the joking and little stories wrapped up into dark supernatural plots. Still despite that all, I don't have much affection or interest for any of the characters, (so find the plot's what drives it). Of course people have other opinions on these series, because they have other tastes! So I'm not calling this list of 'bad' and 'good' as a list of law. =P just what I was into.

Onwards; cosplay, perhaps! I planned to cosplay Isane from Bleach if I attended the expo event, (my sister would be Unohana, she's MADE for it) but even after buying the material for the costumes, we didn't do it. Gosh, what are we going to with all that black and white?

We could leave it until next spring, then cosplay some other anime which uses a lot of black or white clothes, (the list is massive! So much for the 'bright colors' of Old) the leading choice is 07 Ghost that we could cosplay, of course. Not only is it the favourite amongst my recent watches, but also, it has a lot of white costumes!

But then I still have an -infernal- list of characters I want to cosplay. I have a Naruto costume and a bankai Ichigo costume perfected; from those two shows I'd want to cosplay maybe the Fourth Hokage, Isane or Ukitake (However, I don't much want to have more than one costume per show). Otherwise Gintoki from Gintama would be an easy quick cosplay to make, and something that would be equally as easy and match me well would be England from Hetalia; it's hard to find anime characters with green eyes (and I want free tea). Kuroshitsuji is an option, though I don't know much more than that. 07 Ghost is very plausible, (given the material) I would want to cosplay one of the blondes; looking mostly like Hakuren, but I want to cosplay Frau for the interesting costume, and for his gorgeous, epic scythe.

Frau's scythe? Well, if there was a weapon in anime I would claim I have fallen in love with, that is it.

But of course, costume-wise I'm still in love with Cloud's Kingdom Hearts outfit.

(they don't go together)
I've finaly played Final Fantasy 7, (I was a bit young to play it when Final Fantasy was new and cooler) finaly. It had me hooked for about a week, and I became ill while playing it. As a result? Possibly. But I've nearly finished it; rather I got to the last battle, then realised it was the last battle, and did not want to finish the game... For a game that's meant to be notoriously long, it's not that long, but I do supose I have the advantage of using a playstation emulator to run it, so no save point travel was required.

I'll finish it sometime soon, but now I'm savy, and I now know more about Cloud.......... I still only slightly like him, (so no obsession here) emo pin-cushion head.

Back to normal stuff... I dyed my hair red. It didn't work that well. It made part of my hair floppy... ... buh.

I have to do some workshop hosting soon, I'd like to do some big pictures, and gardening! I bought Snowdrops and Glory of the Snow to put in some planters (though we already have many growing in our garden, they're not close enough to see from the house- yes, my garden IS that big) I also have some multicolored irises. Maybe next year I can keep the flowerbeds under control (for once, haha!)

'I' (though they're not MINE, they're FAMILY pets) also got some ducks. Sadly one died after a dew days, from not eating. The others surived and they're almost fully grown now, and all pretty and white and don't quack, (they instead trill) selective breeding can work wonders sometimes. I look forward to tasty duck eggs!

i'm drawing a little, but not much for my own sake. Today (and yesterday; this is a special preview just for you lot) I've been drawing this.... Maybe it makes a little sense, but I just couldn't resist. Everyone's always saying they look alike, afterall!

I saw a picture and had to base it on that, (the manner of sitting and the costume and chair are the same, I did not even vaguely copy, it's not my style) the sad thing is, when I saw the chair, I remembered the Labryinth manga and how badly drawn it was; I hope that's not everyone's focus when I post it =3

Honestly, I haven't been overly inspired lately, so I'm just glad to do it... Even though I've been drawing almost constantly, it's not been my own inspiration.

Well, apart from manga planning.

I'm not sure how deeply I can explain this, but one way or another, (hopefuly one way, rather than the other!) I'm going to publish a manga, and due to certain circumstances it looks to be soon. I've an idea, a plot, and I've done a lot of research and world building; I have to type some more plot, that's -it-, it's the last part you -have- to do before drawing. (Okay, I have to research a building style too, haha, but that's easy! especially after researching so much already) I promise the story is fantastic, and it even has its own David Bowie look alike.

This is a very special preview, I haven't even completed this 'work' (which is designing weaponry; something I can only do after studying heraldry, weapon usage and blade manefacture) I won't offer any explanations yet. At the top are the main characters, some of which need their designs tightening up, most which don't. They mostly all need names and I'm proud of every one of them. The newest character; the one that was actually missing from my story (you can tell when a story's not complete, it has a void you need to fill) is the red-head in the center. I'm super proud of him =P and for some mysterious reason, everyone seems to like HIS sword the most. However, the character on the far left is cleary the most popular.

And... well, I guess all of that sums up what I'm up to! I hope you enjoyed the update; I'm going to rest my hands after all that typing! Sorry I'm such a slow-un when it comes to updating my livejournals, but I find my days too boring to talk about XD so, until the next update!

This is one of the reasons having a little brother can be really cool sometimes.

(you don'ts gets to see our floor, it's covered in paper scraps right naow 8D)

Ignore the fact that my sis's only made his haori- we haven't really worked on his costume yet since we haven't anywhere to take him yet.

But isn't he -cute-? He's got blue eyes and all and is just the right pint-sized height... We just threw the wig on sprayed up this wig a minute ago (it was bought to try to make Hichigo's, but it was too short in every way) it's perfect for Hitsugaya. -He's- perfect for Hitsugaya, (and is really eager to 1. play with swords and 2. be photographed- we HAVE to take him to a convention) Imagine it after some actual WORK XD

But I guess we'll be working on his costume next, since Paris JapanExpo is coming up. The only problem is he could be kidnapped.

(PS, we totally had Hitsugaya running around our house for a few minutes, behold my Ototo's awesomeness!)

Tha' Black Wig
[info]son_nekoni
This is called messing around.

My sister went and brought her black wig downstairs (she used it for a Vincent Valentine cosplay) and she and I had a poke at it.

Here's a couple of the pictures. (these are both me ^_^; )

I didn't tell you to expect them to be cool! XD

First is trying to get it like Rukia's hair, which is easy. Unfortunately black hair automaticly makes me look ill (which is why I'm not prone to try cosplaying black-haired characters), so I've got ten or so pictures of 'if L was a girl' (complete with that pink-striped emo-shirt) Don't even ASK why my house looks like that. Don't ask why we have a boken either.

Second is my attempt to get wig-kun to look like Ishida's hair. Obviously it'd need some actual cutting, but it seems doable. I'm not cosplaying Ishida, (my sister is) so I wanted to convince her, but it ended up being a bunch of lols, and freaked my mom out (I think she only recognised me because of my jacket. Don't ask about the jacket)

Yesterday we had fun with a pink wig. Maybe tommorow, we'll have fun with the red wig we own 8D It's only a matter or time until we have purple and orange wigs, too, fuhuhuhu!

So! The fact is, I'm a pretty out of sync person, I have a longer day by 1 - 2 hours, even if I try and stay on the 'daylight' schedule I still drift back into nighttime schedule (since I work from home, you can see how it's uneeded to have an alarm)

Anyway yesterday I was very sick, and it woke me up about 4 or 5 hours too early- so I was awake at 12.. very, very tired and grouchy. I intended to go to bed after 5 but ended up staying awake til 8pm (with caffiene) because there was a special dinner and good tv on.

The tv was (mostly) a documentary (by horizon- so very well reputated) that my dad'd been waiting to see; it was about the 'bodyclock'; my entire family watched it and discuissed most of it XD but anyway; here's the thing.

It touched on teenagers (which it quoted to be 'between the ages of 12 to 21') as having longer days and so being hard to wake up in the morning. Woot, free pass.

Anyway, the irony is I went to bed at 8- so I should have been waking up around 4 am, right? 5? 8? 10? 12!? I just woke up at 1... my dad tried to wake me up twice but I just could not peel my eyes open.

Darn body clock!

(I'm actually very lucky; I just had, what, 17 hours sleep and I haven't woken up dehydrated or frozen again)

PS; I so recommend watching that documentary with your entire family, especially if you're a teenager or young adult who has been classified as 'lazy' in the mornings or 'staying up to late' - Horizon's documentaries are really great!

Oh yeah, and on a side note, I cut socks in half yesterday. Does that look insane?

Friday 13th Journal
[info]son_nekoni
I am sublimely.. angry!

I'm not supersticious, but GHHRRR!! It's one of those days!

Firstly, it snowed again, which is great- if you want to go out and play in it... if it's going to melt and drip on your head in a waterfall as you're getting the woodrun to stay warm, it really sucks.

Everyone's been agressive today; which is probably normal. Somehow everyone in my family does brilliant impressions of Gordon Ramsies and Alan Sugar. Especially my sister. Though earlier she sounded more like a dalek; when I took my pen away from her grabby hands and she decided to yell her right to just take my stuff...

Speaking of pens... BAD DRAWING DAY! The actual drawing isn't that bad; I'm having trouble with weight alignment and proportions, however I tried to draw a Narusaku earlier and... well I think I wasted two hours trying to draw it!! The only point I give up on a picture is when I've destroyed one or more pieces of paper in trying to conquer it. So I've been snappy over it a bit.

It's a bit hard to draw in this enviroment anyway! The tv hasn't been turned off for 12 hours, people are always talking and yelling behind my head and all that. Also, EVERYTHING I NEED goes walkies. The good eraser, ALL my rulers, my good pens, I mean, what is GOING ON? (I can tell you; just like my sister tried, people borrow my stuff and don't bring it back) It just makes everything more frustrating. There I am having a hard time, and low and behold I can't find one of my THREE rulers in order to draw a tabletop to set the balance for my entire picture!

And even beyond that; people! Why do so many people have to bug me! 'Oh your having a bad drawing day, SHOW ME! CAN I SEE! I WANT TO SEE! HAHA just teasing!' or 'Why are you watching Bleach and not some gay-ass anime I prefer, Nekoni? I've been pestering you for weeks and I don't even know your name but I'm so offended I have to whine!' or what really ticked me off 'Ew your site's frames! ew! ew!'

I can't stand that attitude. I hate being preassured; especially for what to do with my free time. Draw originals? Watch Yu Gi Oh? Program CSS and waste time on nothing? NO! It's no-one else's job to try and make me feel like dirt because I don't live up to their standards or conform to their tastes! I have my own interests and tastes! So what if I like shounen anime, what if I like drawing fanart, what if I don't learn how to walk on a tiperope!? It's nonsense!!

What a stinking day! It's giving me a headache!

Bleach:

So here I am at the point where, I'm enjoying a series...

Bleach is good, definitely good. I've watched about 80 episodes now (having skipped the filler) and managed to get a favourite character- Ichigo. Then Rukia. Then Renji. *scratches head*

I know I'm cosplaying it, and that I'm going to enjoy cosplaying it. I might not update my Naruto costume knowing that Ichigo will be so much fun...(AND HIS BANKAI COAT IS REALLY COOL.) ah, I'm going to cause trouble for my friends. But more importantly, I wonder whether to draw fanart..

Maybe I think too much, but I think anyway. I've done some sketches, I'm interested in abosorbing some of the features of the style... but, you know, I don't really love it as much as Naruto. Should I draw fanart? I'm unsure.

I think bankai is uber cool; I think Hollow Ichigo is cooler. (What's with the homocidal, inner personalities and their coolness?) Orihime surprsingly doesn't bug me too much; although she's girly and peppy, she's still got issues.

I prefer IchiRukia though, as a pairing. Not that I've looked for it, rofl.

*pokes it* Is that how you spell it? I don't have a clue.

I looked at fanfics for Bleach earlier today...

...then promptly turned away and started running. I'm not into it enough to try battling through fanfic!

*scratches head* I just... wonder! It's so troublesome. I wonder the same things for other shows- like Doctor Who, or Death Note, or Heroes, sometimes. Baw. I guess I'll see what I do the next time I'm bored. I kind of want to do some fanart, but---

Troublesome!

Manga

It's kind of sad that I can't tell you much about this; but weirdly watching another anime vaguely inspired me to work on my manga idea.... and it's weird but, now, my manga idea is actually complete enough to start. It's got the story, the twists, the characters and even the first chapter summerised...

What's stopping me, right now, is that I want it perfect; I want a little more time to think if I've got it right. I also want to work on my style... and, while I can mimic and create a lot of styles at the drop of a hat, I haven't hit what I want to draw manga in yet. I know it'll be ligne claire; fresco (like Bleach, Naruto, Akira, Death Note) that's my comfort zone. But there's so many fluxuations I can use... by being able to draw in a lot of styles, it means I'm sort of left with too much choice. There's so many choices to make for a manga!

I think I'll mess around with styles a lot, soon... maybe draw my next doujinshi to full manga quality, work on my black and white presentation, detailing and shots. I admit that I'm incredibly lazy when I do my doujinshis, shot and style wise, I just let it play out, and vary the complexity however I feel. The lines I use are simple because they need to be colored, but if I did black and white I'd have to work on my manual texturisation.

...I wonder if this makes any sense to any of you guys! Eheheh ^_^;

ah, ah! So I'm a mix between procrastinating and indecisive, I'm not ready to start yet!

The only sure things right now are... that I can't talk about the plot or characters openly, show any designs... that I'm not ready to start. I also know that whenever I do it, I'm going to be self publishing it. I'm going to see if I can get some advice from Sweatdrop Studio about doing that.

The problem with manga companies is, if you get in with your western manga, you have a maximum of 300 pages to tell your entire story, and have to adhere to their rules and wishes. Although I can do that; I can't with my pet idea. 300 pages is such a small amount, too! Only good for cheap romances or comedy *rubs head*

Of course if it proves popular, a company might just buy distribution rights (they like to do that too)

(and by popular, I don't mean anything like a shounen jump title, just something with a thousand readers would be heavenly)

Ah I'm so ranting. So ranting. XP

I promise you it'll be good, and that I'll post samples online quite frequently, and sell any printed copies I can online too! I'm a total shounen-junkie, my own manga is shounen to the extreme; it's like a weird cross between Naruto, Bleach, Buffy The Vampire Slayer and X-random other shows. -I don't know how the Bleach got in since I wrote and designed the characters before watching any, haha. I can't help but notice some similarities, though. (My cat girl used to look excactly like a shorter haired version of Yoruichi! I since changed that- it was so creepy! Same eyes, skin, hair colors... same hair style, but without the ponytail, and same love of tight clothes!)

Oh yeah there's a hurricane

or maybe it's right to just call it a storm. My mom was freakin' out all night over the wind; which I will admit is the loudest I've ever heard. A tree got knocked down in our woods- well, when I say knocked down, I mean.... it looks like it was attacked by a hollow, or hit by a missle. Just the top half of it (and this is a 50 foot tree) was TORN off, shreds of it flying everywhere. It's totally smashed. But it was too healthy and the roots were too strong for it to have been simply pulled over, so it's snapped instead. Slightly.... cool. Luckily none have fell on any powerlines / phonelines yet.

Would you believe, last time there was a storm, a couple weeks ago, 300,000 people in the local area lost their power? I was unaware it was that bad... and this one is worse of course.

I'm not suuuure it's a hurricane, but woosh, severe storm. Schools are cancelled, there was a massive warning, flooding in england (where the other side of the storm is) severe winds, woosh..

My nan woke up quite a lot and came downstairs to stare out the window at the dance-happy trees... it was quite frustrating, both her and my nan sitting on the sofa, panicking.

I managed to distract them with my hair. That definitely means I need a haircut. *pulls at yellow hair*

Ramen;

I still haven't told you about the ramen!

There's a little more happening that this; but I guess it's the more interesting parts.

Cosplay... failure! + Bleach
[info]son_nekoni
Dame da...

I'm a patient person, a really patient person... (weirdly) I guess you could say I believe in 'third time lucky' (but success first time is the best!) because after the third time trying to make this glove, I've given up! No fourth time lucky for me, I'm not going to try again with this technique!

*pokes it*

Yes indeed, this is my third time trying to make Saiyaman's glove. On the first try (and I'm making this by sight with my own pattern, I went and studied gloves to see how they were built!) I made the glove the wrong shape... then when I had the shape down, I made it too small (this isn't too far into the progress that I noticed 'it won't fit over my wrist')

The third time, the shape and fitting was perfect, but then...

FABRIC FRAYAGE OF DOOM!

All the hard parts were complete and all *dies*

I've been using two layers, one's a thicker, duller interior layer and the other is a shiny, pure white exterior layer- which as you can see... FRAYS LIKE A DEMON!

I can't beleive my sister managed to make her Ishida costume from this stuff... but then that's got a lot more space for the seems T_T ah well...

Just a few more hours down the drain.;;

I'll buy some white gloves and edit those, instead!

On another note, I watched some of the Bleach musicals.. man the wigs and costumes in that look cool. It's like a cosplaying guide... *rubs head*  It's helped me make some decisions on Ichigo's hair! *grin*

I want THAT one!

*point*

Okay since anime companies aren't clue in to how much they'd make if they started selling cosplays or just gorgeous wigs like that, I'll just imitate that wig, since it's the best reference -ever-, woot.

It's a harder cosplay than I thought, though. I have to make straw shoes and tabi (though a master plan has been concocted) as well as get the hakama to not look... insanely madly fattening. Oosh... Oosh... not so easy.

Am I into Bleach now? Well, I've been watching it... I'm on episode 24 now- and after watching a substantial amount of Bleach musical, I've already 'had enough Bleach for the day' ; so I wouldn't say I'm atall addicted to the substance. I'm enjoying watching it... just not... not in the 2 week solid marathon style that I approached Naruto with.

I'm on the night schedule again, (a common habbit of mine) which means I'm sleeping all day, beh. Experiencing those infernal stomach pains again (but I know a medicine which makes it stop... when the pharmacies open again) Ummm *rubs head* it snowed, I haven't updated tensei or worked on the next chapter any more yet.. *scratches chin* but I have done some work...

I was gonna' show you, but it's too cool and sensitive, my work. *rubs neck*

Man I feel bummed out and lazy today! Too lazy to watch tv or read fanfic..! Working is oddly the laziest thing to do right this moment...

432 - KIENZAN!
[info]son_nekoni
Sorry to type another journal so fast; but I just read Naruto chapter 432!

You can hit it at onemanga and similar places.

Spoilers lie in the great beyond; tread this path and you shall be soiled- I mean spoiled! (unless you read it last week, like I couldn't)

Okay. Now. THAT! Was COOL!!!!

Superman- I mean Sageman is soooo awesome!!

He's too angry to listen to Pein...

win

He's manifesting Wind Rasenshuriken

WIN

He's THROWING IT!!!

WINNNN!!!

(I didn't think he would do that until recently, I was slow at piecing the clues for that together)

I've also called something again... vaguelly, what use he'd use... ... lawl, okay I didn't call much.

so anyway, I have to say it-!

When I first started watching Naruto, I thought he sounded a lot like Krillin... well he just took that to the next level with the kienzan- or for you DBZ dubbies, 'Destructo Disk'!

This is so worth a joke...

There's just too much that is awesome about Sage Naruto to tell!

I was glad to see his teeth again, too!

...

The jutsu expanding was unexpected- but destructive! Naruto couldn't pull that off if Konoha was still there.

He's developed a Goku complex (well he's BASED on Son Goku, so naturaly...) his friends are now 'staying away to help'... I love this...

It's DBZ!!!!!

But with Naruto X3

The multplying dog was unexpected... but clever. Kishi knows how to make a battle high level.

It had puppies!

The ultimate cool has to be the frog mouth trap... what a move! And Naruto's eyes are -glowing-. He's fantasticly creepy in a froggy way... it's, dare I say it, AS COOL as Kyuubi Naruto.

That trap is a fantastic way to cut off vision- not that the Peins will fall for it again- they'll be watching for, uh, being eaten like flies.

Ugh I can't believe how excited I am about this battle- I'm grinning though reading it! Naruto's just so incredibly powerful in Sage mo-

oh, he lost it.

Dai Pinch.

TA-REE

So! I disapeared for quite a few days! I took a forced vacation from the internet- Why? A tree fell on my phone line.

Now you guys may not know this about me... okay, you probably don't. But I live in a big house with a big garden, (not rich, there are the occasional dream-home bargains... and it has no heating) anyway, big garden, big trees! (60 foot or more is the norm) due to the geographic arrangement, admist mountains, we get really strong storm fronts. I think last week's was the strongest we've ever had, it was definitely hurricane force by the way it rarranged our heaviest garden furniture and wheely bins. I was outside trying to get wood for our woodfire before it hit... ahah... walking back it hit. Rain- and wind- and by the time I got in and closed the front door, ONE side of my head (not kidding) was soaked and the other was dry. Lawl.

It blasted branches and slabs of bark off the trees- and unsurprisingly knocked down one of the tall pine trees right onto out phone-line (which carries th'internet as well as phone) it only took down ONE tree, which was surprising since we have hundreds XP. Anyway it landed on the phone-line connecting to the small wooden pilon (which conencts in turn to my house) - it, (via landing on the cable) yanked the pilon down hard, which in turn pulled the cable right out of our wall- (again... this ain't  tha' first time) I can't really imagine the whiplash because the two parts of the cable were displaced 15 and 30 meters respectively. Whoosh....

-BUT luckily all in all, a yanked cable and a Leaning Pilon of Piza were the only problems... well, discluding the waiting list of all the other folks with downed phonelines.

So after checking around, my dad and I attacked the tree which was laying on the phoneline... a bit of a challenge. We had to take off the branches, untangle tha cable, balance the massive log incase it fell and sort of weasel a gap for the cable to escape through without getting squished by the big mean tree. But it worked- I guess my dad's used to cutting trees up (we're so good to the enviroment! -actually we are, 0 carbon heating babe!) I got to use the chainsaw... which I don't actually like. It makes your hand tingle for a good few minutes and turns you deaf XD but at least I get to brag to my city-boy friends that I'm manlier than them.

I also skinned a chicken the other day. Well, three chickens. Well, just their thighs. Well, they came in a packet.

I tell you what, I am NEVER doing it again... I made chicken yakitori and yakisoba with sukiyaki seasoning... that's chicken kebabs and fried ramen, in english. It was part of some chinese meal and I'm never skinning and stripping chicken thighs EVER AGAIN!!!!! It was yummy though, yakitooooriiiii! Umai!

The Ramen Identity Secret

I need a camera for this. =X and maybe to be cosplaying Naruto so the point is got accross...  IT'S STILL A SECRET!!! Shall revealing soon.

Cosplay Progression

Y'all may know I'm working on Sage Naruto, Kingdom Hearts Cloud, Ichigo and The Great Saiyaman.

Well, I haven't fixed Naruto's pants yet, or found the right color leatherettes for Clouds belts... but on the positive side of things, while I was shopping for ramen I bought all the fabric needed for Ichigo! I also found (but haven't bought) the perfect fabric for Sage Naruto's most awesome cloak, and some decent green for saiyaman. I started making saiyaman's gloves- but so far have failed (I think I'll have it next time though! Gloves are tricky to size) All's cool.. unless I go to a con next month, (which I might) which means I have to hurry up with Ichigo.

I'm considering whether to buy a Naruto wig so I can attend cons when my hair isn't freshly dyed, (and can have Tidus length hair) or not... though by next month I think I'll be fed up of having bangs in my eyes again *scratches head* why can't all hair be wigs and stay the same? Then again that'd be itchy.. but Jaz-chan looks so cute with pink hair! ...

....

I also keep wondering about the eye thing. I've got heavy lids so I could easily switch my eyes to asian shaped eyes, it just requires so eye-glue, but I still, still, still really wonder how much that might freak people out (afterall, I still have a very western nose!). I've had conversations with Kyuubi and Sharingan-eyed people- and frequently attatched myself to someone with Kakuzu's eyes but maybe an epi-whatsit- asian fold would be pushing it. People are freaked out so easily at the eye-glue deal, but after having mascara in my eye, and seeing eyelash extension appliers and contact applicators... I know what squeams me out more...

...plain, simply, girly, MAKEUP!!

I'd like to hear your opinions on that, how much it'd freak you, or not... or the crazy things you've seen XD

(I probably won't ever have the guts to buy the stuff like a true japanophile, regardless of what you say, anyway! I just think it'd make my eyes more narutoee and that evil eyeliner stuff easier to apply)

Uhmmm - oh hyeah, site

Site

Dude, that's what I just said!

Shut up and stop talking to yourself

I've set up a website... http://www.nekoni.co.uk - that's co.uk, as in UK... I think my aunt bought the .com *scratches head* D'anyway. Site, all my stuff... secure. I said all that stuff on dA. It'll be a nice stable enviroment where I can always be found (no matter what) - I can put whatever I want there, even non-art; and I can also rest secure about putting my originals on there and not have to worry about dA's usage of art policies n' stuff. I endevour to post scraps I've never shown before, videos, w-ever! It's nice having your own site.

I know it's got no comments, but I'm cool with that. When I'm working on stuff, like tensei, it's nice to have a clear head- no thinking 'but they're waiting! they said they're waiting for the next page!' and definitely no thinking 'darn it, he's a cat! CAT! MEOW!' - nice, lovely silence! *grin of doom* It helps me work I think. Doujinshi planning takes a lot of thinking, for example. My tensei file; which isn't fully scripted or anything, is over 16,000 words. Lots o' thinking! (and that's just for the story)

So yeah, in control, quiet and always found. I'm very happy with that arrangement.

I also plan to host some of my buddy's stuff, and maybe some of people I admire- I won't name names so they don't feel forced. When I have more of the site in, of course, I'll think more about this.

Future Project Yappage

Future projects! I really am a bit of a demon when it comes to thinking up ideas. I have two doujinshis for the future- one is for halloween (it was just too bad a time for me last October to draw it) another might be sooner...

It's comedy, it's about Naruto- Sakura, Sasuke... (oh I'm so predictable) to be precise, it's about Kyuubi Naruto (predictable, YAWN) and I'm wondering if you suspect I'm up to something sneaky and UNpredictable yet, with this idea...

cuz I am....

I'll do it whenever I'm ready, but it'll be about 50 pages, tops... so after a little more tensei. Whenever it is that I'm sick of drawing adorable little chibies again.

and I could yap more, but my fingers are starting to ache, just a tad!
